Malta and Gozo are famous for their specially blended and flavourful finest bee honey. The hives are located in the open thyme and clover fields. The high price is a deterrent. However, according to our research, the honey is pure bee honey with no non-EU honey (syrup?) included. It is believed the name Malta is derived from Melitta, the Greek word for bee. Malta is the island of honey.
