1. General
These Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) apply to the use of the website worldofmalta.com (“Website”), operated by Mr. Niclas Bongards, 88 Jean de la Valette, Naxxar, NXR1206, Malta (“we,” “us,” or “our”) By accessing and using the Website, you agree to these T&C If you do not agree to these T&C, please do not use the Website.

We offer travel information and tips on Malta and Gozo as well as the sale of eBooks exclusively on the basis of these General Terms and Conditions. The content on the Website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.
3. User Account and Registration
Access to certain services or the purchase of eBooks may require registration. You agree to provide complete and current information during registration. You are responsible for the security of your account information and all activities that occur under your account.
4. Purchases and Payments
We use the payment service providers PayPal and Stripe for the sale of eBooks. By purchasing a product, you agree to pay the listed price and any applicable taxes. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders if fraud or unauthorized activity is suspected. Data processing by payment service providers is carried out in accordance with the data protection guidelines of the respective providers.
5. Right of Withdrawal for Digital Content
Consumers have a statutory 14-day right of cancellation. However, this right of cancellation expires prematurely if the consumer expressly agrees that the execution of the contract (download or access to the eBook) will begin before the expiry of the cancellation period and the consumer confirms that he loses his right of cancellation through this consent. This regulation corresponds to the Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU) and the E-Commerce Directive (Directive 2000/31/EC).
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Website, including texts, images, graphics, and eBooks, is protected by copyright. Without prior written consent, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from this content.
7. User Obligations
You undertake not to misuse the website and its content.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website or interfere with its operation.

8 International purchases and taxes
For buyers within the EU, VAT is charged in accordance with the regulations of the country of destination. The amount of VAT depends on the respective national tax rate and may vary depending on the country. For buyers outside the EU, additional customs duties, import taxes or other charges may apply and must be borne by the buyer.
The seller assumes no responsibility for these additional costs. The currency in which purchases are made will be displayed during the checkout process. There may be exchange rate charges levied by the buyer’s bank or payment service provider.
9. VAT and Tax Information
For buyers within the EU, VAT is calculated according to the applicable regulations of the destination country. The prices shown include VAT unless otherwise stated. 10. Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Due to the nature of our products (digital content such as eBooks), we generally grant a 14-day right of cancellation from the day of purchase. Please note: However, your right of cancellation expires prematurely if you expressly agree to download the eBook before the cancellation period expires and confirm that you thereby lose your right of cancellation. This consent will be obtained by us during the ordering process and subsequently confirmed to you by e-mail. Irrespective of this, if you have any problems with your purchase, please contact us at [email protected] to find a solution. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
11. Warranty
The statutory warranty rights apply to all contracts. If the buyer is an entrepreneur, the following provisions shall also apply: The buyer must report all recognisable defects in writing after receipt of the goods, but at the latest within 5 working days. Hidden defects must be reported immediately after discovery. In the event of justified complaints and timely notification of defects, we undertake to make a replacement delivery. If the customer does not give us the opportunity to convince ourselves of the defect, in particular if he does not immediately make the rejected goods or samples thereof available on request, all warranty claims shall lapse. Failure to notify us or late notification shall result in the loss of warranty rights.

19. Place of fulfilment, place of jurisdiction, applicable law
The law of the Republic of Malta applies to all contracts between us and our customers. Consumers residing in the European Union may additionally invoke the mandatory consumer protection regulations of their country of residence. The place of fulfilment for all obligations arising from the contractual relationship is the delivery address specified by the buyer.
For entrepreneurs, the place of fulfilment for all claims arising from the contractual relationship is Valletta, Malta.
Our T&Cs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malta excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Any disputes arising in connection with these T&Cs or your use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta. Consumers within the EU are entitled to the protection of the mandatory provisions of their country of residence.
In the case of consumers, this choice of law only applies insofar as the protection granted is not withdrawn by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which the consumer has his habitual residence.
We are entitled, at our own discretion, to request proof of identity and proof of the customer’s age of majority and address. If the customer does not comply with this request within one week, we are entitled to terminate the contract without notice and to cease the provision of digital content and services and, if necessary, to reclaim any goods that have been sent.

The contract language is English. Translations into other languages are for convenience only. In case of dispute, the English version of these T&Cs shall prevail.

Refund Policy
