On Saturday, 29th March, an unforgettable experience awaits at the Inquisitor’s Palace in Birgu.
From 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, embark on a culinary journey exploring the rich traditions of Maltese and Gozitan cuisine. This session will focus on preparing braġjoli – stuffed bundles of meat, slow-braised in a hearty stew, evoking the flavors of a simpler time.
Discover how religious customs influenced eating habits, with giorni di magro (lean days) and giorni di grasso (rich days) shaping the diets of past generations. Learn about the history behind these customs and experience hands-on preparation of this traditional dish.
This bilingual session is designed for adults and is limited to 10 participants. Don’t forget to bring a container to take home the delicious creation.
